Estimator
- Develop the optimal manufacturing range for the parts
- Determine the chain of command
- Participate in the update of calculation charters
- Participate in the improvement of manufacturing methods and cost reduction
- Anticipate tooling needs, templates and special packaging
- Complete the application forms related to the APQP and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Analyze the impact of the variation in the cost of raw materials
- Participate in the optimization of the submission method
- Participate in the maintenance of ISO IATF-16949 with regard to the procedure in force
- Plan the work to be carried out according to the established priorities
- Solve problems related to estimating work and recommend measures to increase productivity

Preferred Skills
- DEC in Mechanical Manufacturing or equivalent
- Knowledge and practical experience of metallic materials, die-cutting and shaping of laser cutting, punching machines, bending machines, welding, machining and assembly
- Knowledge and practical experience in an environment using ERP software
- Knowledge of Auto CAD, Pro-E and CATIA
- Bilingualism is an asset (French – English)

Vulcain primarily operates as a subcontractor for the heavy vehicle (class 7 and 8) and public transit industries, for specialty and recreational vehicles, and for industrial equipment.
When it comes to sheet metal contract work, our operations include cutting, stamping, punching, bending and assembly through welding or other methods.
